Jotun VISIR CLEAR Primer (Oil-Based)

Jotun VISIR CLEAR Primer UV is a high quality Oil Based, water repellent wood primer that contains powerful fungicides against wood rotting fungi, and film fungicides to protect against surface moulds. Jotun Visir Primer Clear is an oil/solvent-based primer which binds loose wood fibres on bare timber, proving a great surface for further treatments such as Jotun Demidekk®.

Jotun Visir Primer Clear™ contains added UV filters designed to protect your woodwork from sunlight and dangerous UV light.

Visir Primer Clear™ strengthens the surface of the timber, protects against mould and rot, and makes it water repellent, giving extended life and durability to the Jotun coatings system. Because it is a solvent-borne product, it significantly extends the life and maintenance intervals of your exterior woodwork.

Jotun Visir Clear Primer™ should be used before applying translucent wood stains or opaque paints on all new or aged (weathered) external woodwork, and is great on pressure-impregnated (Tanalised®) wood.

Jotun Visir Clear Primer UV is suitable for use on all exterior joinery including: new woodwork, pressure-impregnated (Tanalised) timber, and previously painted woodwork (weathered). Available in 1L , 2.7L and 9L tins.

Coverage: 1 Litre will cover 9-11m² (smooth wood) or 4-7m² (sawn wood) per coat.
Application Method: Brush.
Thinning: Do not thin.
Drying Time: 8hrs (touch dry), can be re-coated after 48hrs. Times based upon +23 °C, but dependent on temperature and humidity this can be less.

Jotun Demidekk Visir Primer™ is usually boxed and delivered to your door within 1-2 working days. There is a £9.99 delivery charge to most of the UK mainland, however remote and offshore areas will be subject to a surcharge. Please call before ordering.

NOTE: This paint is ordered & mixed specially to order, therefore we are unable to accept returns under any circumstances. Please ensure that you order the correct product, colour and quantity for your requirements.

Jotun® Paint Delivery

Jotun® Paint UK Delivery

All our UK orders are shipped by a tracked express courier service – DPD.

Additional charges and timescales apply for deliveries to the Isle of Wight, Isles of Scilly, and mainland areas that our couriers consider to be remote (some AB, HS, IV, KA, KW, PA, PH, ZE postcodes).

Orders are scheduled for a 2-3 Working Day Service (Monday to Friday). Please note, no deliveries are scheduled for weekends or National Bank Holidays, so please allow additional time in these circumstances. We use a trusted, fully tracked service to ensure your order arrives swiftly and in perfect condition. You will receive an email and text message to track your order.

Orders placed on a weekday or over a weekend will be shipped on the next working day. For example:

An order placed on a Thursday will be dispatched on Friday with an expected delivery attempt on Monday (excluding National Bank Holidays).
An order placed on a Friday or over the weekend will dispatch on Monday with an expected delivery attempt on Tuesday (excluding National Bank Holidays).

Our couriers aim to deliver over 98% of parcels within 2 working days (weekday delivery only and excluding National Bank Holidays), however, this is not guaranteed, and we cannot accept liability for any work started or costs incurred because of delays/errors. We advise customers to order in plenty of time to allow for unforeseen delays as well as not to book any contractors until orders have been received and checked.

No collections or deliveries will be scheduled for National Bank Holidays, so deliveries will be delayed. Please allow additional days in these circumstances.

Packaging

All of the Jotun® packaging is designed to ensure the safe and secure delivery of all your online paint orders. Of course it’s not invincible and spillages can happen in transit but we’ve gone to great lengths to minimise this.

All of our tins are taped before being bagged in a recyclable plastic bag
The bagged tin is then placed into a custom fit, recyclable cardboard insert top and bottom
The tin in its bag and inserts, is then placed within a heavy duty, recyclable cardboard box
The outer box is then taped up ready for labelling and shipping

Shipping Restrictions

Delivery is £9.99 to most of the mainland UK, however, our couriers may apply an additional charge for deliveries to areas that they consider to be remote. In these instances, the additional charge will be indicated at checkout once the delivery postcode has been entered. Deliveries to these areas will also usually take a few additional days.
